Led by Alicia Campbell, an artist & creative producer who has experienced chronic illness/pain throughout her entire life and was finally diagnosed in 2020.

A participatory project that explores the experiences of, and cultural attitudes to women of colour who have chronic illnesses and pain, in order to raise awareness and create a call to action for access needs, support & solutions.

Sharing works in progress - artistic interpretations of her experiences and the transformative nature of pain through experimentation with soundscape, archive footage, and illustration with motion design & animation.

She will share her process of developing new skills and creating, and cultural & scientific research as an act of healing and a recognition of the difficulty of being ‘heard’ as someone of a marginalised community.
